The SR.N5 model performed quite well, and I thought that there would be scope to use the same basic design and motors and build an SR.N6. This meant that the craft had to be extended by four window bays. Rather than modify the existing model, I started again, incorporating lessons learned from the SR.N5, and attempting to reduce the weight further.
The thrust motors on the SR.N5 and the SR.N6 were mounted inside the model, just forward of the lift duct. Transmission to the propeller was through a universal coupling and shaft.
The plan for this model can be used to construct a 1/16th scale SR.N6 by adding four frames and windows.
